Re-Roof Projects

Most residential re-roof situations will require that an on site field sketch or drawing be made by the Home-Owner or Roofing Contractor as original plans are rarely available or accessible.

A simple birds eye view of the roof is sufficient – it is not necessary to attempt a three-dimensional drawing as these are rarely helpfully in the overall process.

At a bare minimum for simple Hip and or Gable Roofs – please make sure to include ALL EAVE measurements and provide the length of the longest run on each roof plane.  If you know the Roof Pitch please provide this as well.

As the roof structure gets more complicated, additional measurements for the Ridge/ Hip/ Gable Rakes/ Valley/ Sidewalls / Endwalls/ and Pitch Transitions are generally required as well.
