New Construction

Architectural plans are generally available for commercial construction projects from the General Contractor or Project Management Firm.

Although we prefer that you have already previewed and focused on the plans required for the roof portion of your job, many times these commercial plans are available for download on a private ftp website by registered bidders and/or the winning bidder. If you can provide user name and password access to the FTP site, we can download the necessary plans to complete your take-off.

Please be advised that with regards to large commercial jobs, that we do not serve as your bidding project manager – it is still up to you to set the agenda for which buildings get bid on and what roofing product is being specified. Multiple buildings and large scale buildings that require more than one page to see the dimensions will require multiple take-offs and multiple charges.

Please note that not all “Roof” plans will have building dimensions, therefore it may be necessary to include additional plans such as the Foundation or Floor plan that generally contain usable dimensions on them.

Please send as much of the following information as available:

• Roof Plan – Architectural
• Roof Detail Plan (s) – Architectural
• Elevation Plan (s) – Architectural
• Foundation Plan – Architectural
• Floor Plan (s) – Architectural
• Roof Framing Plan – Structural
• any other relevant Architectural or Structural plans
• JOB SPECIFICATION for Division 7
